Effective, November 1, 2010 - Young Women of Distinction will Change its Name to the Girl Power Project.

Since our history, we have empowered girls to make a change within themselves, their families, their communities, and the world. We truly believe in the power of ONE.  We took an in-depth look at our mission, vision, beliefs, and decided we needed a brand new name and look to communicate our focus.  After undertaking an exciting rebranding process, we are pleased to announce our new name, Girl Power Project, and tagline, " She's Doing Her Part".
